Second Acts – Jennifer Pettus
Inspired by theatrical devices like lighting, props, exaggerated palettes, and costuming, Second Acts experiments with the amplified and temporal qualities of theatrical story-telling and story-experiencing. It likewise speaks to the second acts we may experience in life. Like a play’s protagonist, sometimes we must experience the unexpected in order to move forward.
Chemigrams and a Printer – Dania Pettus
Dania Pettus’ new work is a reconnection to her previous photographic work. She uses a method called Chemigrams, which is a filmless darkroom process that allows her to accept the unknown look of the final image. The images are made on photographic paper, scanned, and printed digitally.
